Customer's dog ate my tone probe, then chased me to the truck
Last Tuesday in Fresno I was doing a residential drop and the homeowner's lab mix grabbed my tone probe off the driveway while I was on the ladder. It cost me $45 to replace, but the real issue was the dog kept circling the truck for 20 minutes while I tried to finish the ground block. I finally just left a note and rescheduled for Friday when the dog goes to daycare. Anyone else lose tools to pets and have to build that into their job cost?
I had a rottweiler make off with my crimpers once and honestly I learned to ask about pets before I even pull in the driveway now. It saves the headache and I just add a half hour to the estimate if the dog is out.
