Back in the day, we'd carry a 50-foot spool of RG-6 and a crimper on every job... now it's all pre-terminated cables and push-on connectors.

That shift from fixing things to just swapping parts is everywhere now. It feels like we traded skill for speed.

Honestly, it’s depressing how true this is. My dad could rebuild a carburetor in his sleep, and now I’m just watching YouTube to figure out which module to swap out on my lawnmower. There's no skill left in it, just matching serial numbers and clicking "buy." Feels like we lost something real, not just tools.
