Rant: That sawstop demo at the woodworking show scared me straight
I was at the Chicago show last Saturday and watched them fire that blade into the hot dog. Twenty grand machines and everyone in the crowd just went quiet. It hit me that my shop still runs an old cabinet saw with no brake, and I've been pushing sheet goods through it for 7 years without a second thought. I know the price is brutal, but after seeing that demo I'm finding a way to budget for one this winter. Anyone else had that moment where the cost finally stopped being the excuse?
