A cabinet shop owner in Tulsa told me my drawer slides are for furniture, not for kitchens

He said clients in his area expect full-extension soft-close rated for 100 pound cycles, and my 60 pound budget slides were the first thing his crew ripped out, so has anyone else had a customer inspect slide specs before signing off?

Wait, how many cycles were those 60 pounders actually rated for before they gave out? I think that’s the real question here, because @the_zara already learned the hard way that spec sheets don’t lie once you’re standing in a finished kitchen with a drawer that won’t hold a cast iron skillet. I’ve seen guys install budget slides and then blame the cabinet maker when the client starts loading up heavy pots six months later. Did you ask the Tulsa shop owner for the exact test data, or did he just wave his hand at the weight limit and call it a day? Because if he’s ripping them out before even running a cycle test, that’s a lazy crew, but if they’ve actually seen failures come back, then your pricing needs to shift.
