Tried a $15 hand pump and a $90 electric pump for my kayak, guess which one won
I got a cheap inflatable kayak off Facebook Marketplace in Boise for $60 and needed a pump for it, so I grabbed a $15 hand pump from Walmart first. It took me 11 minutes of sweating and swearing to get the thing full, and my arms were jelly after. Then my neighbor let me borrow his $90 electric pump that plugs into the car, and it had the kayak rock hard in 3 minutes flat. The cheap one is now a dust collector in my garage, and I ordered the electric one the same night. I know 90 bucks sounds dumb for a pump, but after doing it the hard way even one time, I am never going back. Has anyone found an electric pump that works without a car outlet, or am I stuck parking next to the water forever?
