That cheap oscillating tool blade pack I was skeptical about? Yeah, it's garbage.
I bought a 20 pack of oscillating tool blades off Amazon for like $12. Figured how bad could they be for basic trim work. Well, the first blade snapped on a single nail in my bathroom remodel in Austin. I've gone back to spending $8 a blade from the hardware store and they last through an entire project. Anyone else find a cheap tool accessory that actually held up, or is it all just a waste?

Did you ever try to use those cheap blades on anything metal? I used to grab the cheapest multi tool blades I could find cause I figured who cares, they all cut the same. Then I bought a set that literally melted trying to cut a pvc pipe and I had to toss the whole thing. Now I just cough up the cash for Diablo blades and they actually last through a whole job without smoking up the room.

Holly and I hear you on that. Did you ever try to take a cheap blade to something like a thin metal stud or a scrap piece of aluminum? I had the same experience once with a no name brand blade that started wobbling after a few seconds and left the metal looking chewed up. I always thought multi tool blades were simple enough that price didn't matter but that was a costly lesson. The worst part was the blade got so hot it almost fused to the metal and I had to pry it off with a screwdriver. What brand were you using before you switched to Diablo?
