Stuck between a $60 rice cooker and a $20 one at H Mart in Dallas, went cheap and now I eat crunchy rice twice a week

The cheap one cooks uneven and the bottom layer burns every single time, so I'm scraping burnt rice out of the pot at 10pm like a fool. Should I just eat the $40 and get the fuzzy logic one, or is there some trick I'm missing with the cheap pot?
