My neighbor swore by using vinegar to clean coffee makers, so I tried it for 6 months straight
He said it would save me from buying those expensive descaler packets, but now my machine sputters and takes twice as long to brew. Has anyone else had their Keurig act up after too much vinegar?

Three months of vinegar is usually the sweet spot before problems start, not six. The acid in vinegar can actually eat away at the rubber seals and gaskets inside the machine over time, which causes that sputtering and slow brew. You might want to run a few cycles of just plain water through it to see if that clears out any loose gunk before you decide on a replacement.

Wait, did you also start seeing your Keurig act like it's got a bad case of morning grumpiness? Mine started making this sad wheezing sound, like it was trying to brew coffee but also give up on life. I'm pretty sure I single-handedly clogged up every tiny tube in that thing with layers of cloudy vinegar gunk. At this point, I'm just waiting for the day it finally coughs up a weak, sour cup and then goes completely silent on me. Maybe we should start a support group for vinegar-damaged coffee makers.
