My coin jar hit $412 in change and I'm weirdly torn about cashing it in
So I've been dumping my pocket change into a big glass jar since around 2019, mostly quarters and dimes from the laundromat down the street, and last night I finally counted it. $412.37. Back when I started it was just a lazy habit because my dad always kept a coffee can of coins by the door, and now I'm staring at this thing wondering if I should haul it to the Coinstar or just keep adding to it like some kind of weirdo. The machine takes almost 12 bucks off the top too, which bugs me. Anyone else hang onto change way longer than makes sense, or should I just cash it and be done?
