Finally figured out why my drill bits kept snapping mid-job
Been an electrician for 12 years and always thought bits breaking was just bad luck or cheap metal. Turns out I was drilling at full speed into steel studs without any oil, took a retired contractor 30 seconds to point it out on a job site last month. Anyone else have someone casually fix a basic mistake you've been making for years?

Read something similar in a trade magazine once about using slower speeds for metal. Crazy how the simplest stuff gets overlooked for years.
