Burned $150 on a 'waterproof' phone pouch for kayaking and it leaked within 20 minutes
Phone got fried on my first trip down the Rogue River last month because that pouch had a pinhole seam I didn't see. Anyone else had junk outdoor gear that just straight up lied on the label?

Oh man, that's brutal! I actually just watched a YouTube video where a guy tested like 15 different waterproof phone pouches by submerging them in a fish tank with a paper towel inside. Almost all of them failed within an hour, even the expensive ones. The only one that actually held up was some basic dry bag style thing that cost like 15 bucks. It's crazy how much companies lie about "waterproof" when they really mean "splash resistant" at best. Did you try getting a refund or contacting the company at all?

@violamurray I had the exact same thing happen with a $40 waterproof case last summer. Took it to the lake and my phone was toast in under 20 minutes.
