That bone dust cloud caught me off guard yesterday
Was breaking down a beef quarter at the shop on North Street and my bandsaw blade was way duller than I thought. It threw bone dust everywhere, got into my eyes and I could taste it for hours. Anyone else had a close call with a dull blade they want to warn about?

That shop on North Street, is that the one by the old feed mill or further down near the river? I heard they had a close call with a saw last month where a guy almost lost a finger on a bandsaw that wouldn't stop running, it was some kind of electrical issue. Was your blade actually throwing dust because it was dull or could the guide block be out of whack too, I had that happen once and it made a mess just like you're describing. I switched to carbide tipped blades a few years back and they last a lot longer but you gotta pay attention to the tension on them or they'll still toss dust everywhere.

Buddy of mine had that exact bandsaw scare, blade kept running after he hit the stop.
