Spent 6 months fighting an old band saw till a retired guy pointed out the blade guard

Took me half a year and three broken blades to realize the tilt gauge was off by 4 degrees, and he caught it in about 10 seconds, so has anyone else had a simple fix sneak up on them like that?

Wait, so the saw wasn't the problem, the tape measure on it was just lying to you for six months? Yeah, I had a table saw that kept kicking wood back at me, and I thought it was a dull blade or a bad fence. Turns out the riving knife was installed upside down the whole time. The guy who sold it to me probably laughed all the way home. At least you got three broken blades out of it, that's a solid learning experience. I got two bent push sticks and a hole in my drywall for my trouble.
