Showerthought: the old guy at my shop in Tulsa said my grinder was running too fast and I brushed it off for 3 weeks
He watched me burn another blade on the 36 grit belt and just said 'slow it down, son, the steel will tell you when it's ready.' I finally dropped my grinder to half speed last Tuesday and got the cleanest bevels I've had in 6 months. Anyone else have an old timer drop one line on them that didn't click until way later?

Three weeks of burning through belts at full speed and all it took was one guy saying five words. That's like ignoring the check engine light for a month and then acting surprised when the truck dies on the side of 169.
