Just lost a whole side of beef to a bad cooler unit

Our backup walk-in at the shop in Springfield had a temp spike last night (it hit 48 degrees, I guess the compressor gave out). That's about $1200 worth of prime rib and short plate just gone. I'm so mad I didn't check the alarm battery last week. Anyone have a good cooler repair guy they trust in the area?

Had the same thing happen with a backup unit last year. I ended up calling Mike's Refrigeration over on Elm, and he got it fixed same day. He found a bad relay switch that the other guys kept missing. Saved the rest of my stock.

My old boss at the deli on 5th Street had Mike come out for a walk-in that kept tripping. Three other companies said it was the compressor and gave huge quotes. Mike found it was just a faulty defrost timer wire, a five dollar part. It really makes you wonder how many units get replaced when the fix is that simple.

That relay switch is a sneaky little problem. Mike's the best for finding those hidden issues fast. Good call saving your stock.
