Finally got the band saw blade tension right after 8 months

I work at a small shop in Portland that does custom cuts for local farms. About 8 months ago I got a new band saw and could never get the blade to track straight. Kept wandering off the wheels no matter what I did. Last week I watched a guy from a meat plant in Eugene adjust his saw and realized I was cranking the tension way too high. Backed it off by a quarter turn and now it cuts through a pork shoulder like butter. Felt pretty dumb but also relieved. Has anyone else dealt with a saw that just refused to cooperate like that?

Man, I feel that so hard. Tension is such a fickle thing.

Wait, one wrong breath and it all just vanishes?
