I paid $2,400 for a "business fiber" install that ended up being the same cable I already had
Six months ago I signed a 3 year contract with a local provider here in Dayton for what they called dedicated business fiber, and the install crew just ran a line to the exact same box the cable company uses. My speeds never changed and I ran a test every morning for two weeks to prove it. When I called to cancel they quoted me a $2,400 early termination fee and said the contract covers the service tier, not the speed. I run a small pressure washing setup and that money was going to go toward a second trailer, so now I am reading every line of any contract before I sign it. Has anyone actually gotten out of one of these business internet contracts without paying the full buyout?
