Just saw a bumper sticker that made me pull over in traffic
Was stopped at a light on Route 9 in Albany yesterday and the car ahead had a faded sticker reading 'If you can read this, you're too close.' Normally I'd shrug it off, but the guy in front of me was tailgating a minivan so hard I could see the driver's neck tense up. That sticker wasn't a joke, it was a warning that got ignored, and two blocks later they nearly rear-ended someone. Has anyone else noticed these sayings becoming less like humor and more like instructions people refuse to follow?
