A guy in a Denver parking lot called my sticker a 'bumper fortune cookie' and it made me rethink how I slap them on
So I collect bumper stickers and for about 2 years I just stuck them anywhere there was flat metal on my Corolla. Last month in a King Soopers lot off Colorado Blvd, this older guy walked past my rear bumper and laughed, then told me my stickers looked like someone dumped a fortune cookie on my car. He meant it as a joke but it got me thinking, because I had 14 stickers on there and most of them were just random quotes with no real point. I went home and pulled off 9 of them, keeping only the 5 that actually say something I would defend in a conversation. Now I put maybe one new one on every 3 months and only if it makes me stop and think for a second. Did anyone else go through a phase where you overdid it and had to thin the herd? Curious what your cutoff is for keeping one on there.
