Vent: stop putting stickers all over your monthly spreads

I keep seeing people on here slapping random stickers over their monthly calendar boxes and then complaining they missed appointments. Last week my cousin showed me her bujo and she had 3 sticky notes covering her 15th. She literally missed her dentist appointment in Chicago because she couldn't see the date. Why cover up the thing you actually need to read? Has anyone else had this cause issues for them?

OMG THANK YOU. I see this ALL the time and it drives me BONKERS. People DECORATE their monthly spreads like a scrapbook and then wonder why they miss things. The whole point of a monthly calendar is to SEE your appointments at a glance. If a sticker or washi tape covers that dentist visit, what good is the spread? It's like putting a pretty blanket over your car's dashboard and then complaining you can't see the speedometer. My rule is simple: stickers go around the dates, never on top of them. If you really need to cover something, at least use a removable sticky note you can lift up. Decorations should ENHANCE the function, not destroy it.

I read somewhere that washi tape is great for decorations but not for covering important dates.
