Vent: My coworker called my bullet journal a 'glorified to-do list'
I was setting up my weekly spread at lunch yesterday and she just said it out loud. She said 'looks like a lot of work for a glorified to-do list.' It really got under my skin. The whole point for me is the process of writing things down and the custom trackers for my mood and water intake. Has anyone else had to defend their bujo to someone who just doesn't get it?

Honestly that comment misses the whole point. My bullet journal is way more than tasks. It's where I keep my garden sketches and track my reading, which a simple list could never do. The act of setting it up helps me sort my thoughts for the week. For me, that process is the whole point and it's worth the time.

Oh man, my old work logbook turned into a weird plant watering schedule halfway through.

I used to just make quick lists on my phone, but my sister showed me her journal with little weather notes by each day. It made me see the day differently, so I started one too.
