Three years of bullet journaling and I just figured out what the dot grid is actually for
I always used the dots as a rough guide for straight lines but never actually measured anything. Last week I was figuring out a weekly spread and realized I could count the dots to space out my boxes perfectly without a ruler. Did anyone else miss this obvious feature for way too long?

Lol took me four years and a YouTube video to figure that out. I was just drawing lines freehand and wondering why my spreads looked like a toddler made them.

Grab a ruler and a triangle set square if you've got one. I kept trying to eyeball it for way too long and my grids were always crooked. Lining up the ruler with the dots on the paper changed everything for me, saved so much frustration. A $2 ruler is worth more than the headache of freehanding those lines over and over.

FOUR YEARS?? I literally just gasped out loud reading that patricialee. I was stubborn for maybe three months with my bullet journal and almost threw it across the room once. Four years of crooked grids and lopsided boxes feels like some kind of TORTURE I would never sign up for. My hat goes off to you for sticking with it that long before finding the ruler trick.
