Thought a weekly spread would take 20 minutes, three hours later...

I finally tried a minimalist weekly layout after swearing by daily logs for two years. Setting up the columns and making the headers neat ate up three hours of my Sunday. Anyone else get stuck making simple spreads look "just right"?

Just right" is the enemy of ever finishing anything.

Last year I spent 3 months trying to get the intro paragraph of my resume "just right." I kept rewriting it, changing one word at a time, never sending it out. Finally a friend sat me down and said what you just said, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Now I tell myself the same thing whenever I catch myself tweaking something for the millionth time. Done beats perfect every single time.

@patricialee I read somewhere that "the perfect draft is a myth." So true.
