The ruler hack I mocked for 2 years finally clicked for me

I used to think people who drew border lines with a ruler instead of freehand were wasting time, but after my last 4 spreads in Columbus came out crooked, I gave it a shot. Having a straight frame actually makes my weekly layout easier to follow and I spend LESS time fixing mistakes afterward. Has anyone else flipped on a tool they thought was overrated, or am I the only late convert here?

Felt this hard. I spent years doing freehand monthly spreads and telling myself the wobble was "character" or whatever, but once I actually lined up the border on a single page I couldn't go back. It's like the whole spread settles down and my brain doesn't have to work as hard to read it. Now I get annoyed when I see a crooked line on my old pages. Welcome to the club, better late than never.
