The index took me 3 years to finally figure out

I kept skipping the index in my bullet journal because writing page numbers felt like a chore. Every time I needed to find an old spread, I flipped through 30 or 40 pages and gave up. Last week I sat down and made a simple two page index with categories like work, meals, and yard stuff. Took me maybe 45 minutes total, and now I'm annoyed at past me for not doing this back in 2021. Has anyone else put off the boring parts of a journal for way too long?
