Stopped using 15 different trackers and just kept 3 in my bullet journal last month

I was logging sleep, water, mood, and like 12 other things daily and it took forever, so I cut it down to just exercise, debt payments, and one daily win. Has anyone else tried trimming down their trackers and found it actually helped you stick with the habit?

Which one of the three would you drop first if you had to cut down further? I cut my tracker list from eight down to three and then realized the daily win one was the only one I actually looked at. The other two just sat there taking up space. Felt stupid to keep writing stuff down that I was never going to read again or even glance at. Made me wonder if most trackers are just busywork we pretend is helpful.

Tracking everything helped you notice what was actually happening. @julia_miller24 might be right that some trackers feel like busywork, but writing stuff down daily forces you to actually look at the numbers. Exercise tracking sucks but seeing you skipped the gym three weeks in a row is better than just feeling guilty about it. Debt payments written down every day kept me from spending money on dumb stuff because I had to face the total. The daily win is nice but it's also the easiest to fake or forget.
