Spent 2 weeks using a minimalist weekly layout and felt less productive than my usual chaotic monthly spread
I tried that simple boxed weekly with no extra lists or trackers because everyone said it would reduce overwhelm, but I ended up forgetting three appointments and two deadlines, so what do you use when you need to balance simplicity with actually getting things done?

50 bucks says you tried one of those influencer spreads with like 4 boxes and zero room for actual tasks. I was in the same boat until I stopped trying to be a minimalist and just made a modified bujo spread with a small weekly column for scheduled stuff and a big open sidebar for my chaos list. I save my headaches by color coding with just two highlighters (red for deadlines, blue for appointments, that's it) so the eye catches the important stuff without needing 15 pens. The key is having the simplicity prevent overwhelm but still leaving space for the messy brain dump because let's be real, we all need that.

Right! It's like we all gotta find that sweet spot between perfect order and total chaos.
