My journal fell in a puddle last Tuesday and I had to salvage a whole month of plans
I was walking to my car after a coffee meetup, my journal in hand, and a sudden downpour hit. I slipped on the wet curb and the whole thing went right into a huge puddle. The cover was soaked, and the ink on my weekly spread for the next four weeks started to bleed. I spent that evening at my kitchen table, carefully peeling apart the stuck pages and using a hair dryer on low heat. I had to rewrite all my client appointments and meal plans from memory, which was a real headache. It made me realize how much I rely on that one book for everything. Has anyone else had a major journal disaster and found a good way to protect theirs from the elements?

Oh no, that sounds like a total nightmare! I felt that stress just reading it. I dropped mine in a sink full of dishwater once and had the same panic with all the smeared ink. Have you thought about a waterproof cover? I got a plastic one that zips shut after my sink incident, and it's been a lifesaver for rain and coffee spills. Maybe something like that could help for next time.

Ugh, the dishwater drop is the worst! That milky, inky mess is a special kind of panic. @the_ray's packing tape hack is actually pretty smart for a quick fix, I used it on an old notebook's spine once. It gets kinda sticky over time though, so a proper cover like yours is probably the move long-term.

Heard about using clear packing tape on the outside cover. Makes it kinda waterproof. Ever try that?
