My $40 Leuchtturm notebook was a total letdown

I bought a Leuchtturm1917 for bullet journaling last spring and the paper quality is straight trash. Ghosting so bad I can barely read the back of the page with any pen darker than a fine tip. My $10 Amazon dotted notebook from last year held up way better. Anyone else ditch the fancy brands and go back to cheap ones?

Lasted exactly two hours" lol that's brutal but I get it. My sister bought me one of those fancy notebooks for Christmas and I sat there for a minute trying to figure out if I was supposed to frame it or write in it. I ended up using it as a coaster for like six months then gave it to Goodwill because the paper made me mad every time I looked at it.

My first Leuchtturm lasted exactly two hours before I returned it after seeing the ghosting on page two. I actually went back to a $5 Hilroy notebook from the drugstore and honestly my life hasn't changed for the worse. Sometimes I think we pay forty bucks just to feel fancy while our pens bleed through the whole thing.
