Hit 200 days of habit tracking in my bujo and it totally surprised me

I started a simple habit tracker back in January just to see if I could stick with brushing my teeth before bed every night. Nothing fancy, just a little box I filled in with a blue pen. Yesterday I counted up all the filled squares and realized I hit 200 days straight without missing a single one. I honestly thought I'd drop it after a week like every other system I tried before. The funny thing is, it wasn't the tooth brushing that mattered. It was watching those little boxes pile up day after day that kept me going. Now I'm adding a second habit to the tracker and I'm scared to break the streak. Has anyone else gotten weirdly attached to a streak in their bujo like this?

Did you read that piece about how gamification rewires the brain's reward system?

Wait, were you tracking your water just to meet some health goal, or did the gamification actually make you want to drink more because of the points? Like, does the dopamine hit from seeing a streak feel better than actually being hydrated? I'm trying to figure out if it's the activity itself or the reward system that hooks you.
