Ditched the color coding system after 6 months

Everyone in my bujo group swears by color coding everything with markers and highlighters. I tried it for 6 months and it just made my spreads look messy and cluttered. I went back to a single black pen and simple dot grids. My monthly layouts are way cleaner now and I actually stick with it. Has anyone else given up on color coding?

Ngl @lisak26 I was skeptical until I tried single pen spreads and realized clean beats colorful every time.
