Started bulk cooking lentils after a trip to WinCo last Tuesday...
I used to buy canned beans every week, but a 2lb bag of dried lentils cost me $2.50 there, and I cooked enough for 8 meals in about 45 minutes. Anyone else ditch canned stuff for dried and notice the difference in their grocery bill?

Saved me even more with the bulk spices too, crazy how fast it adds up.

Ryanburns is spot on with the $15 they mentioned. Once you switch, that dried bean habit just keeps multiplying the savings. I started getting my cumin and smoked paprika in bulk too, and a small container of each costs me maybe 50 cents compared to $4 for the jar at the grocery store. Your mileage may vary on the exact math, but for me, that WinCo trip pays for itself every single month.
