Shoutout to my $25 immersion blender

Everyone says you don't need one, but it lets me turn cheap canned beans and tomatoes into a thick soup in minutes, saving me from buying pricier pre-made stuff. Anyone have other cheap tools that paid off?

Watched my buddy struggle with lumpy mashed potatoes for years. He finally grabbed a cheap ricer from a thrift store for like three bucks. Now his potatoes are smooth every single time, and he uses that thing for squeezing water out of frozen spinach too. It's just a simple hunk of metal, but it fixed a problem he had forever.

I get the appeal, but I've never minded a few lumps in my potatoes.

My old ricer just collects dust since I prefer a bit of texture in my food.
