PSA: Frozen veggies are cheaper than fresh and work fine in most recipes

I was at Aldi last week and saw a bag of frozen broccoli for $0.99 while fresh was $2.49 a head. I used to think frozen was gross but honestly for soups, stir fries, and casseroles you can't even tell the difference. Just don't thaw them first just toss them in the pan frozen. Anyone else made the switch or still team fresh?

Frozen veggies are a lifesaver honestly. Tossed some frozen peas and carrots in a pot pie last week and nobody noticed.

Oh come on, I have to disagree with this one. Fresh veggies have way more texture and flavor, you can tell the difference immediately. Frozen peas always get mushy and that metallic taste from the freezing process just ruins the whole dish. I tried frozen corn in a soup last month and it was so watery, completely threw off the consistency. Plus frozen broccoli? Absolutely not, it turns into a sad wet sponge. Fresh carrots actually have a crunch that frozen ones just can't match no matter how you cook them. If nobody noticed in your pot pie, your guests were probably just being polite honestly.

Totally agree, I had the same soggy broccoli disaster last week.
