My neighbor's cost cutting tip on rice backfired big time
Old Mr. Henderson across the street told me to always buy the 25 pound bag of rice from the bulk store because it's half the price per pound. I did that last month and stored it in my garage. After three weeks I opened it to find pantry moths all through it. Now I'm throwing out 20 pounds of rice and buying smaller bags from the regular grocery store. Has anyone else had a bulk buy go wrong like this?

Ugh that sucks. Freeze the rice for 48 hours first next time, kills the eggs.

Wait but if the eggs are already in there, freezing won't un-hatch them lol. You gotta freeze it before you even open the bag, otherwise they might've already crawled out into your pantry by then.
