My grocery bill dropped to $47 a week for two people and I still can't believe it
So I started tracking every single thing I buy at the store back in January, mostly out of boredom if I'm being honest. Last week my total came to $47.12 for two people, and that includes coffee and snacks, which feels fake somehow. The big thing was switching to dried beans and rice as the base of like four dinners a week instead of grabbing the frozen stuff. I also started shopping at the Latin market down on 5th instead of the big chain, and produce there is honestly half the price. Monday was black bean soup that cost maybe $2.50 for the whole pot and fed us two nights. Anyone got a cheap cut of meat they swear by for stretching into multiple meals? I'm trying to get under $40 but I'm stuck on the protein part.
