Just realized my bean jar hit 50 meals
I started a big jar of dried beans back in January to save cash, and I finally used the last scoop for a chili tonight. It felt like a weird little win, like beating a game I didn't know I was playing. What's the cheapest single thing you've bought that just kept giving you meals?

Wait, you started that jar in January? That's a serious run for a bag of beans.

Blake322, your comment reminds me of a friend who kept a sourdough starter alive for two years. It became a weird pet he had to explain to house guests. Some projects just take on a life of their own.

Honestly that's wild to me, a single bag lasting that long? I bought a 20lb bag of rice once and it felt like it was multiplying in the pantry, I was eating it with everything for months.
