I finally had it with recipe blogs making cheap meals a chore.

I was all set to make a BUDGET pasta dish, but the site had a novel before the recipe. Scrolling past all that junk just to see the ingredients felt like a WASTE. How do you guys find simple recipes without the hassle?

Ugh, I feel you on that. I just hit the "print recipe" button now. It pulls up a clean page with just the ingredients and steps, no story. If the site doesn't have that, I skip it entirely. I found a couple sites like Budget Bytes that get right to the point, so I stick with those. It saves so much time and frustration.

Doesn't it feel like everything online is buried in pointless stories now? You're spot on, @charles_scott93, I see this with DIY guides and tech reviews too. Last week I wanted to fix my sink, and the tutorial had three paragraphs about the author's childhood before the steps. It's like sites think we care more about their life than getting things done.

Totally get where you're coming from. Last time I tried to make soup, I had to scroll through two whole pages about the author's grandma before seeing the list. It turns a quick dinner plan into a huge hassle. I've started bookmarking sites that skip the fluff.
