Heard a guy at the grocery store say he stretches ground beef with lentils and I tried it on taco night
I mixed a cup of cooked brown lentils with a pound of ground beef for tacos last Tuesday and it made 10 tacos instead of 6 without anyone noticing, how do you all bulk up ground meat?

My mom used to do this with canned tuna back in the 90s. She'd mix in crushed saltines and an extra egg to stretch it for tuna casserole, and we thought that was just how tuna casserole was made. Didn't realize we were eating filler until I was like 16 and a friend's mom made it with just tuna and noodles. That casserole felt way too rich and oily to me. Now I can't un-notice the texture difference when a recipe is stretched or not.

Without anyone noticing" is the key phrase, I love that. It's basically the perfect stealth move for saving money and getting extra fiber in your diet. I do the same thing with finely chopped mushrooms and it works like a charm.

Start sneaking in some grated cauliflower with a pinch of turmeric for color - it blends into almost any rice or pasta dish without changing the taste. @thea_mitchell20 would probably like this trick too since it adds nutrients nobody suspects. The turmeric even gives it that slightly yellow tint so picky eaters never question what's in their food.
