Frozen chicken thighs beat fresh for my Tuesday meal prep after 3 weeks of testing

I compared 5 pounds of fresh thighs at $2.49 a pound with 6 pounds of frozen at $1.89 a pound over three Tuesdays in Austin, and the frozen ones cooked up juicier in my slow cooker with zero extra prep time, so why am I still seeing folks grab the pricier fresh packs at HEB when the frozen bags are right there?
