Bought a bulk bag of lentils for cheap then found out I hate cooking them
I grabbed a 5-pound bag of dried green lentils at Costco for like $4 thinking I'd save big on meals. Spent 3 weeks forcing myself to eat mushy lentil soup and realized I should have just stuck with canned chickpeas. Anyone else get burned buying bulk stuff they never actually liked?

Congrats on your new doorstop collection, lentils make great counterweights. Next time maybe buy a bag of rice you'll actually eat and call it a day.

My lentil phase lasted exactly one sad soup before I gave up.

Four days into my lentil kick I got so desperate I tried mashing them into a "burger" that basically fell apart in the pan. Took one bite, tasted nothing but sadness and dust, threw the whole mess in the trash and ordered a pizza. Now I just stare at the bag on my shelf like its a personal failure every time I walk past the pantry.
