Went from string lines to a laser level on my last retaining wall

For 12 years I pulled string lines on every course, checking with a spirit level after each row. Last month I borrowed a buddy's rotary laser for a 60-foot retaining wall in Fort Worth, and I set my heights in a third of the time. Have any of you switched over permanently, or do you still trust the string for tricky corners?
