Switched from wet saw to angle grinder for brick cutting
I used to haul my wet saw to every job for cutting brick, but last year on a site in Austin with no water hookup I grabbed a cheap angle grinder with a diamond blade. It cut a stack of 50 pavers in half the time and made way less mess. Has anyone else made that swap and noticed any downsides I'm missing?

That grinder trick is solid for speed, but have you noticed the dust situation getting worse on dry cuts without water? I know you said less mess, but that fine brick dust gets everywhere and hangs in the air for way too long. Are you running a vac attachment or just letting it fly? Curious if your lungs felt it the next day, because mine sure did on a big job.

Two weeks back I did a full retaining wall with dry cuts and no vac, woke up the next morning coughing up what looked like red clay dust. My buddy swears by those cheap dust shrouds off Amazon but I tried one and it just clogged after three cuts. Guess my lungs are just part of the mortar mix now.
