Mortar mixer upgrade cost me $350 and a full day
Bought a fancy new mortar mixer from a supplier in Omaha last month. The drum seized up after three loads, turns out the bearings were bad from the factory. Has anyone else had luck getting refunds on equipment that fails that quick?

Sounds like you bought a "heavy duty" paperweight for $350.

I mean, is it really that serious though? I've had some bad tech purchases in my day too and yeah it stings, but a $350 paperweight might still be able to hold down some important stuff on your desk or help you level out a wobbly table leg. In my experience, gear that doesn't work for one person sometimes works fine for someone else with different needs. I'd probably give it a week before calling it a total bust.
