Hit 10,000 bricks laid in a day and it totally changed my mind about speed

I always heard that rushing leads to sloppy work. But last month on a job in Austin I pushed myself to hit 10k in one shift for a big wall. I actually ended up with fewer mistakes than my usual careful pace. Something about the rhythm just clicked. Has anyone else found that going faster actually cleaned up their work?

Speed forces you to trust your hands instead of overthinking every brick.

The 1,000th time I built a modular I stopped checking every stud alignment and just went with it. Trusting your hands is fine until you're three layers deep and that wonky corner means everything has to come apart. Speed helps, sure, but taking an extra minute to double check saves me an hour of fixing later.
