Why does Target get so much love when their return policy is a nightmare?
I stood in line at a Target in Phoenix for 20 minutes last week just to return a blender that broke after two uses, and the cashier gave me attitude because I didn't have the original box. Meanwhile, I could have just walked into Walmart and swapped it out in five seconds no questions asked. Am I the only one who thinks people stick with Target just for the vibe, not because it's actually better?

and you stood in line for 20 minutes just to return a blender? that's insane. the checker gave you attitude for not having the box like it was your fault the thing broke. i don't get why people put up with that just for the "vibe" when walmart is way less hassle.

I mean I get where you're coming from @paigem45 but I honestly don't think it's that bad. Target's return policy is pretty clear about boxes and receipts if you check online before you go. But I've returned stuff without a box before and they just asked for my ID and it was fine. Maybe it depends on the store or the cashier you get. The vibe thing is real too though, I feel like walking into Target just puts me in a better mood than Walmart even if it takes an extra few minutes.
