Three years ago I switched from DeWalt to Ryobi for everything and now I'm dealing with battery failures left and right

Back in 2022 I bought into the whole Ryobi One+ system because the price was right and everyone online said they were fine for home use. Last week I had three batteries just stop taking a charge. Not even the old trick of jumping them with a charger works. The tools themselves still run fine but finding replacement batteries that aren't junk is getting harder. My old DeWalt stuff from 2018 still fires up first time every time. Has anyone else had their whole collection turn into paperweights when the batteries die?

Everyone online said they were fine" - that was your first mistake.

Nope, trusting the internet is never a good call.

Oh wow, because trusting strangers on the internet never backfires... it's almost like everyone online is just guessing. I swear, half the people giving advice probably read one article five minutes ago and now they're experts.
