That time a Ford dealership kept my car for 3 days and didn't fix anything

Dropped my truck off at the dealer in Nashville last Tuesday for a check engine light and they handed it back 72 hours later with the light still on and a $85 diagnostic fee, so how do you even know which shop is worth sticking with anymore?

Buddy of mine had the same thing happen at a Chevy dealer in Memphis.

Yeah man dealerships are the worst about that. If you can, get a second opinion from an independent shop before you let them do any work. Saved me hundreds once when a dealer tried to tell me I needed a whole new transmission and it was just a sensor.
