Showerthought: A broken blender at a 4th of July potluck made me stick with one brand forever.

I brought my old Oster to blend margaritas and the plastic base cracked, leaking everywhere. My buddy handed me his Vitamix from his truck, and it pulverized ice like nothing. Now I won't even look at another brand, but is that dumb?

Blend a brick" is the perfect way to describe that feeling of total trust in a tool.

Totally get that. I had a cheap blender die mid smoothie and it was such a mess. Borrowed my neighbor's Blendtec and the difference was insane, just like you said. It felt like it could blend a brick. Once you see that kind of power and it saves your party, you just can't go back. Not dumb at all to stick with what actually works when you need it.
