Sat in a Ford dealership waiting room for a whole afternoon

My cousin dragged me to look at a used F-150 last Saturday. While she was stuck with the sales guy for 2 hours, I just sat there watching folks come in with their old Fords for oil changes. Every single person refused to even look at the Chevy lot across the street. One guy told me his dad drove a Ford so he drives a Ford. Isn't that kind of loyalty just blind at this point? Has anyone else noticed how dealership cults kill any chance of comparing options?

Read somewhere like 70% of truck buyers never even test drive a competitor's model. That's wild to me, like buying a house without looking at the other ones.

Brand loyalty is a hell of a drug.
